Nervous System Assessment

3 Advanced Tests to Assess Your Nervous System

What gets measured improves.

At our chiropractic office, we do nervous system testing using a tool called the INSiGHT neuroTECH. It combines three nervous system scanning technologies to evaluate how your nervous system is functioning.

Our Core Score Technology provides you with a comprehensive picture of your neurospinal health. This Space Certified technology represents one of the biggest breakthroughs in Chiropractic assessment in the past 20 years.

The assessment is simple, pain-free and accurately tests 3 major components of your neurospinal function in under 10 minutes:

Surface EMG – reads muscle activity of the spinal postural muscles

Rolling Thermal – monitors skin temperature to assess autonomic nervous system function

Heart Rate Variability – measures the balance and activity of the entire autonomic nervous system

These 3 tests are consolidated into a single overall impression, allowing Chiropractors to make more accurate care recommendations and have better clarity regarding client outcomes. Furthermore with re-testing, Core Score technology can provide better clinical objectivity.

neuroPULSE

This test can measure Heart Rate Variability (HRV). HRV shows your body’s ability to adapt to stressors in its environment. This primarily looks at your sympathetic/parasympathetic balance, also know as your “fight or flight” system.

Factors that may negatively affect your Heart Rate Variability include physical, chemical and emotional stress.

A decrease in HRV can be associated with poor health and decreased adaptability. Chiropractic adjustments may have a positive effect on Heart Rate Variability and can help the body better adapt.

neuroCORE

We take readings at each part of your spine, from just below your ears all the way down your lower back. The results of this test show areas where your body is working too hard, not hard enough or is out of balance.

The results on this test are a measure of your muscle tone and balance. It evaluates how well your nerves and muscles that support and move your spine are functioning.

Daily stress may cause these muscles to lose their support and mobility. As you continue under chiropractic care, we can track your progress as your nervous system improves and gains control.

neuroTHERMAL

Thermographic scanning detects patterns of unbalanced temperature regulation. In less than 30 seconds, a full spine scan provides invaluable information on how spinal stress can trigger deeper health issues.

Monitoring dysfunction within the spinal column is of utmost importance when determining the hidden causes of your health concerns.

Core Score

All three of these tests are combined into one easy-to-read report that we review in the Doctor’s Report of Findings.

When you come to your appointment to receive your report, you’ll receive something that looks like the image you see here. The doctor will review the scores of each one of these tests, and discuss how each component is positively or negatively affecting your potential. Don’t be surprised if the doctor uncovers a condition you forgot to mention based on how he’s able to read your report!

Since we only feel about 10% of what’s happening in our bodies, neurological testing may give us insight into the 90% of what we don’t feel and how that part of our nervous system is functioning.
